Terms of use
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These terms are between you and Dodera Software S.R.L., Strada Banat 1, 440043 Satu Mare, Romania (registration number J2023000958306, EUID ROONRC.J2023000958306, CUI 49004234) ("we"). By using Pipstep you agree to them. How we handle your data is explained in the privacy policy. The App Store's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app; if the two disagree about the app licence, Apple's agreement wins.
1. Look after yourself
Pipstep is a walking and running coach, not a medical device, and it does not give medical advice. Check with your doctor before starting a new exercise programme, especially if you are pregnant, have a heart, lung or joint condition, or haven't been active for a long time. Stop and get help if you feel pain, dizziness, chest pain or shortness of breath. Lessons are only a suggestion: you decide how fast and how far to go.
Stay aware of traffic and your surroundings. Keep your music and the coach at a volume that lets you hear what's around you, and follow local laws. Heart rate, distance and pace come from your devices' sensors and can be wrong.
2. Using the app
The whole path is free. You can use it without an account. Pipstep is for your own personal use. We may add, change or remove lessons and features over time, usually through course updates.
3. Friends features and your account
- Signing in is optional. Keep your sign-in method safe; you are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Be kind. Don't harass anyone, impersonate someone, use a hateful or offensive display name or group name, or try to cheat leagues, challenges or the Delivery Run leaderboards (for example with altered apps or made-up scores).
- Your display name and anything else you write (such as a group name) stay yours; you let us show them to other people in Pipstep for as long as you keep them there.
- You can block and report people in the app. We may remove names, hide content or close accounts that break these rules (more in section 4).
- You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Settings → Community → Delete account (see how).
- To sign in you must be at least 16. Lessons, Apple Health and everything else that works without an account are for everyone.
4. Reports, moderation and contact
People write very little themselves in Pipstep (such as display names and group names); cheers and nudges use words the app chooses. To tell us about something illegal or against these terms, touch and hold the name and choose Report, or write to office@doderasoft.com with where you saw it (the name, group or friend code), why you think it is illegal or breaks these terms, and your name and email. We confirm that we got it, a person looks at every report, and when we can reach you (always if you wrote to us) we tell you what we decided.
When we act on someone's name, group or account, a person decides (we use no automatic filters). We may rename it, remove it, or suspend or close the account, and we tell the person what we did and why, unless the law stops us. If you think we got it wrong, reply to that message or write to us and we'll look again. You can also go to court.
This email address is also our single point of contact for users and for authorities under the EU Digital Services Act. You can write to us in English or Romanian.
5. Pipstep Plus
Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold by Apple. The price, period and any free trial are shown before you buy, in your currency and including VAT where it applies. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. It renews automatically unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in your Apple Account settings. Apple is the seller, so refunds and the right of withdrawal follow Apple's Media Services Terms; ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Plus ends, the whole path stays free and the Plus outfits Pip already wears stay yours. If we give you Plus for free, it lasts for the time we told you.
6. Tips
Tips are optional one-off purchases through Apple that support Pipstep. They don't buy anything else; the thank-you rewards (such as a supporter heart or a community outfit when a tip jar fills) are a gift and may change. Refunds are handled by Apple; a refunded tip stops counting.
7. Our content
The app, Pip, the lessons and the coach's words belong to us. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please don't copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it.
8. No guarantees
We work hard to keep Pipstep running, but we provide it "as is" and can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Friends features, leaderboards and course updates need our servers, and we may change or end them.
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for injuries from exercise you choose to do. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it, for example for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for intent or gross negligence, and nothing affects your rights as a consumer.
9. Changes and ending
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. You can stop using Pipstep at any time by deleting the app (and, if you have one, your account). We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.
10. Law and disputes
Romanian law applies, and the courts of Romania decide disputes. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of its mandatory laws and may also go to your local courts. Please write to us first; we'd like to put things right. Consumers can also use the out-of-court dispute resolution (SAL) of Romania's consumer protection authority, ANPC: reclamatiisal.anpc.ro.
